Job Objectives

Develop and implement AI solutions to support:

• Semi-automation of estimation tasks
• Standardization of input data for existing estimation systems
• Optimization of accuracy and processing speed according to Japanese project standards

Main Responsibilities

1. Research & Technology Development

• Research and development (R&D): Automate quantity takeoff from MEP technical drawings and optimize design data extraction processes.
• Object recognition algorithm development: Build intelligent recognition logic for MEP components (equipment, accessories, specifications) from 2D/3D drawings.

2. Data Management & Estimation

• Standardize output data: Automatically export data into standard formats for BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
• Quality Control (QC): Validate and compare automated results with manual estimation to ensure absolute accuracy.

3. Optimization & Improvement (Kaizen)

• Optimize workflows: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes aligned with strict Japanese project requirements.
• Improve system performance: Enhance accuracy, reduce technical errors, and increase data processing speed.

Requirements

Mandatory

• 3–5 years of experience as an AI Engineer or related roles in technical data processing
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in automation tools and data pipelines
• English proficiency (TOEIC: 550 or equivalent)

Preferred

Technical Skills:

• Experience in Computer Vision and OCR
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning for CAD/BIM data, including Revit API/IFC plugin development

Domain Knowledge:

• Understanding of MEP systems and quantity takeoff processes (QS)

Language:

• Japanese proficiency is a strong advantage
